Title Sequence

Obscuring Shadows REAL METAL Studios Presents  Phrenic Productions  Actors/ Starring Cast Arnoldo Martinez Adrian Bonell Aiden Alcindor  Music by Capcut Written by Aiden  Produced by Aiden, Adrian, Arnaldo  Directed by Jose Mendoza  Edited by Arnoldo  Story by Aiden, Adrian  This is our groups title sequence for the film opener. The of the font and color decisions were made by our editor Arnoldo, he chose the font "Gloock" reportedly for its simplicity, with white text on a black background, making it easy to see and matches the horror theme of our film. When coming up with the title of our film we looked at movies on IMDB for inspiration and we came up with the name Obscuring Shadows. I came up with the name for the production company and film studio, I threw them out as ideas and the group decided to stick with them.  A image example of our title sequence

Editing 2

We have made more progress editing! Our editor took the project home and began editing.  Arnoldo decided to change some font choices originally, we had a very basic and boring font, so Arnoldo attempted to stylize the credits more, we are still discussing whether or not we like them as a group. Arnoldo also spent some time trying to figure out the audio, the quality and background noise make it hard to understand the characters at times, however this just reinforced that we need to record those lines again. Alongside that he also added a transition to the beginning, a quick pan from the moon down to our characters, which we all like. He said it took him a couple hours, but I'm almost sure a lot of that time was just spent trying to get the software to work, he mentioned having trouble getting Capcut to open on his web browser. He also complained that the site was blocked on the school computers and were trying to work with our instructor to get that unblocked. Our main challe...

We have begun editing our final draft! We took some photos of the process to show you guys!  In these photos we were discussing font choices and the colors we want to use in our final draft. For now, we chose to temporality go with Arnoldos original draft, but this decision isn't fully finalized. We are still deciding what transitions or and working out the audio since the quality is poor and difficult to understand, we may need to re-record those lines. Our main challenge is working out the software and learning to edit, since none of us are very familiar with how to edit but we are learning!

Peer Review

Welcome! We gave our initial draft to our peers in order to collect some feedback. Here's the recommendations the other groups gave us. The first group told us we needed to improve our sound quality. The wind and background sounds make it hard to understand the actors at times; we are going to attempt to borrow profession equipment like cameras, microphones, and the to increase the quality in our final draft. They also said we needed to improve our editing; we are discussing alternative software as a group. The group mentioned that we should add a wider variety of camera angles, but we already have plants to improve on those.  The second group said we should put more emphasis and help improve our cameraman's work. The group also recommended a software they used for editing since we have very little experience editing. They also recommended a change in location, which is already planned for the final draft. We filmed this rough draft on the school track since we didn't have...

Intial Draft
